Many resources are available at OIC and are provided to serve our customers in order to prepare them for
work. In addition, as a WorkSource Partner we have access to multiple community resources.
Staff work hand-in-hand with other partners to connect customers
with WorkSource resources. A customer can walk in and get assistance on:

Skills and Abilities Assessment
For those interested in job placement, staff
gather relevant information through both formal and informal
methods:

Work skills, occupational
aptitudes, interests, and employment goals |

Level of oral/writing skills in English and Spanish, and computer skills |

Other support and service needs such as child care, tools, financial aid |
Our staff use a wide range of
assessment instruments to track skills acquisition in four competency areas : Job Readiness Skills, Work Ethic Skills, Occupational Skills, and Basic Skills. It is important to stress that our assessment will be an ongoing process. Assessments will be used in the development and modifications of each customers Individual Employment Plan (IEP).
Educational Skills Training
Varieties of Supportive Services may be provided to participants enrolled in Work Experience activities, Classroom Training or On-the-Job Training.
