HEP Instructor (Part-time)
Position Overview:
The instructor will be responsible for preparing Migrant and Seasonal participants for successful completion of the GED test, so that 85% participants successfully received their GEDs during the 22-week session. The instructor will teach three evening classes a week during the 22-week session. The classes will each be three-hours long. There are two sessions per year. The instructor will also have an additional six hours per week to assist is recruiting and outreach, class preparation time and planning. The instructor will also process academic skills development documentation, Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and future career and education plans.

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and training skills. 2. Excellent people skills. 3. Strong commitment in working with target population 4. Excellent instructional abilities.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
1. Frequently required to stand, walk and sit. 2. Frequently required to talk and hear. 3. Occasionally required to reach, push/pull, and stoop. 4. Noise level in this work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Additional Conditions of Employment 1. Successfully pass a Criminal History & Background Check. 2. Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test. 3. Maintain a current driver’s license, required motor vehicle insurance, reliable vehicle and good driving record. 4. Employment is conditional on CEO approval.
