High School Equivalency Program (HEP) Instructional Aide (Part-time)
Position Overview:
Assist the instructor to prepare Migrant and Seasonal participants to successfully complete their GED test. Three evening classes will be taught each week during the 22-week session. The classes will each be three-hours long. There are two sessions per year.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITES:
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and training skills. 2. Excellent administrative skills to ensure documentation and paperwork are completed accurately and timely. 3. Able to demonstrate a genuine concern and respect for all cultures and diverse populations served by OIC.Â
Work Environment and Physical Demands
1. Frequently required to stand, walk and sit. 2. Frequently required to talk and hear. 3. Occasionally required to reach, push/pull, and stoop. 4. Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or move objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. 5. Noise level in this work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Additional Conditions of Employment 1. Successfully pass a Criminal History & Background Check. 2. Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test. 3. Employment is conditional on CEO approval.
