ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Location: Moses Lake or Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $33.40/hr  

Full-Time 

The Housing and Financial Services Associate Director is responsible for assisting the Director in providing the overall management of the Housing and Financial Services operations and programs. Responsible for providing oversight, and assistance to the Program Managers in offering programs, activities, and services to participants and clients primarily in the Yakima, Grant, and Adams Counties. Assists the Director in the day-to-day administration and operations including grant writing, fund development, development, and implementation of programs and projects aimed at generating solutions to problems created by the proliferation of poverty in the target communities. Provide guidance, training, and support to the program managers they oversee.


PROGRAM specialist 3

Location: Mt. Vernon, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $23.96/hr  

Full-Time 

The Program Specialist 3 position is a lead position developed to improve the economic and educational status of eligible migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families.  Provide assessments, counseling, education, employment preparation, job development and related services to eligible migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families in a positive and compassionate manner. 


PROGRAM receptionist

Location: Pasco, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $17.28/hr  

Full-Time

ACCOUNTANT

Location: Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $29.65/hr  

Full-Time 

Assist in coordinating the accounting of expenditures and revenues in all funds and prepares fund accounting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles; balances financial data on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; reviews accounting transactions for accuracy and appropriateness; generates various reports and reviews for accuracy, performs trend analysis and makes recommendations or improvements as appropriate, provides accounting assistance to programs, assists in correction of errors; and assists the Senior Accountant. Process purchase orders, supply requisitions, accounts payable and receivables, ensuring accounting procedures and regulatory requirements are followed. Review all transactions for completeness and accuracy while ensuring payments and billings are completed in compliance with OIC policy and procedures and within established time limits. 


CASE MANAGER

Location: Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $18.84/hr  

Full-Time 

Responsible for interviewing applicants and obtaining household demographic and financial information to assess and determine eligibility for resources provided by the department programs based on the funding source guidelines. Is also responsible for keeping in communication with the applicant/client providing them with details of the program guidelines and benefits. Will also keep in communication with department staff as to the status of the client’s application. This position will provide optional resources and referrals to another agency department program or to other partner agencies.


COMMUNITY CENTERS Custodian

Location: Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: DOE

Full-Time | Temporary

The Community Centers Custodian acts as a team member, performing custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness and care of facilities. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep. Special attention for detail and diligence are imperative in custodial maintenance jobs. Positions in this level perform various, custodial, and maintenance related tasks to ensure and maintain proper cleanliness of facilities. Custodians may be required to drive to satellite locations. The custodian will assist with event set ups/take downs. May have an alternate work shift due to scheduled events. 


COMMUNITY CENTERS PROGRAM SPECIALIST

Location: Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: DOE

Full-Time | Temporary

Assist in coordinating the day-to-day functions of the various programs operating within the HBCC, & provide a safe and nurturing atmosphere for the community participants to improve the economic & educational status of community members & their children. Conducts outreach & recruitment in the community to provide program detailed information, such as sports, music and art activities, counseling, and tutoring, in a positive and compassionate manner.  


GRANT WRITER/DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Location: Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $24.00 - $34.00/hr DOE

Full-Time 

The Grant Writer/ Development Coordinator will work alongside the Marketing and Development Coordinator and will be supervised by the Chief Executive Officer to identify grant opportunities, maintain an organized work environment, follow up on development correspondence, coordinate projects, gather data for needs assessments, work on grants and grant reports, organize fundraisers/community events, arrange community stakeholder meetings, working on advocacy, social media, marketing, and public relations. 


HOUSING AUDITOR/INSPECTOR

Location: Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $18.82/hr

Full-Time 

Evaluate the energy efficiency & health/safety components of a building. Gather data, conduct instrument tests & use energy modeling software to identify areas for savings & reduction of energy consumption, improve the safety, and increase the lifespan of the building; while improving the quality of life & comfort for the occupants. 


MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST 1

Location: Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $18.84 DOE

Full-Time 

This position requires someone who is flexible to schedule changes in a fast-paced work environment.  The person in this position will be required to have a background in landscaping, forklift driving, janitorial, and construction/repair. Perform duties equal to working in a warehouse, in janitorial services and in landscaping. There will be a considerable amount of travel between the agency sites both locally and across WA state. Work schedule may require any of the Essential Functions be completed at any of OIC of WA worksites.

Location: Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $23.96 - $25.41 DOE

Full-Time

PROGRAM INSTRUCTIONal TUTOR (HEP)

Location: Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $18.00/hr  |  Two (2) Positions

Full-Time 

As a lead instructor of the High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) academic instructional team, the educational instructor (EI) will coordinate the academic activities, design the academic advising structure, programming, and instructional support curriculum. The EI will lead the administration of the HEP Educational Assessments and Occupational Evaluations to determine the student's reading, math, language, and communication skill levels. They will provide HEP students with HSED preparation assistance and instruction to graduate with HSED credentials including academic instruction in Common Core State Standards in math, science, language arts, writing, reading, and social studies.

Program SPECIALIST 2

Location: Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $20.57/hr

Full-Time 

Responsible for providing clerical support to the Weatherization Program Manager. Under the supervision of the Program Manager the Program Specialist will provide staff support services, data entry, assist with maintaining grant budgets and coding for billings. Answer phones, make copies, prepare, and distribute mail and will assist with other program administrative support services. 


YOUTH PROGRAM MENTOR

Location: Yakima, WA  |  Salary/Wage: $18.84/hr

20 hours per month, Weekends and Evenings

Empower youth to resolve issues & develop coping strategies for their future. Willingness to provide emotional and social support and be an active listener & offer support & encouragement. Coordinate ice breakers, and team building, & participate in enrichment activities, & assist youth with Registration & Check-in Procedures.
